Doctoral Consortium

The ICIQ 2012 Doctoral Consortium is intended to bring together PhD students working on quality aware information systems methods, tools, techniques etc. . This consortium will be an opportunity to meet other young and senior researchers from Information Systems domain.

    The consortium will be an opportunity to:
  • Present a work in advance and exchange ideas with other PhD students having similar research problems,
  • Have feedbacks and advices from more experimented researchers,
  • Construct new links with other researchers for further rich and fruitful experiences exchange.
This consortium is essentially intended for PhD students who have already identified their research topic and have some advances in their work, but not yet close to finishing their thesis.

Submission process

PhD students carrying out research in the field of quality of information systems are invited to submit an extended abstract describing their current work for the PhD workshop. The paper length must not exceed 5 pages. The papers should be formatted according to the general formatting rules for ICIQ 2012. The contributions will be reviewed by a doctoral consortium committee and accepted proposals will be presented during the ICIQ 2012 conference in special PhD sessions.
    The papers should clearly specify:
  • The organization where the student is doing his/her work including name of supervisors
  • The research question addressed and the motivation of the work
  • An overview of related work.
  • A clear positioning of the research direction compared to existing work.
Contributions have to be submitted in PDF format via email by July 10th 2012 to iciq2012dc@cnam.fr.
Notification of acceptance will be sent by September 10th 2012.
Authors of accepted papers will be invited to submit camera ready versions of their papers by September 30th 2012 , taking into account the reviews. The paper author must be a registered participant at the conference, and attend the PhD consortium session to discuss the work with other researchers.
